Most of you reading this blog know my philosophy on shopping- I need to do it regularly but spending the carnote and dipping into the overdraft isn't my style- USUALLY. Every now and then, you have to treat yourself- I do my treating the 3rd check of the month because by then, all the bills are paid or the arrangements on them have been made- lol. I don't know about you but I am a sex kitten. I love fancy hair, polished nails, the ultimate push up bra & high heeled shoes for the grocery store. I found a few pairs of shoes I find incredibly sexy, indulgent and would wear to the carwash- lol.
I found these online at Nordstom (Pura Lopez, $300.00). These are real old school, sexy glamour. Red lips, black eye liner, white blouse, waves and a pencil skirt. Remember those old school cartoons when the sexy girl walked in and the drums started as she and her curves stepped across the floor?- these are the shoes she wore. These are not my usual budget beauty price but I'd manage to get these after the rent is paid.
More sexy shoes!
These are by Courtney Crawford and I found them at intermix.com- no price (they don't want me to cry- lol).
Brace yourself for these-
No words- these are by Alessandro Rodella. I know my couture sh*t! These make me think of Mila Jovitch in the Fifth Element.
So now that we've bought $2000.00 worth of shoes today, I'm off to pay the mortage. It's only $36,000.00- that's a steal in Fisher Island (Google it!)

Did you miss me?
I missed you guys and writing about a few of my favorite things- CLOTHES & SHOES! I'm working on a plan to get my money right so I can start shopping the way I want- I gotta get that Marc Jacobs bag on my arm and make sure the cable bill is paid in full!
So on Black Friday, I hit the mall. I didn't go at 5 a.m., more like noonish. I went into Forever 21 which was still pretty jumping being open at least a million hours before I got there. I stopped in Wet Seal and found these
Colored skinny jeans are everywhere! These are an okay cut and pretty inexpensive so when the trend dies down, you didn't drop a fortune on them. How does $15.00 work for you??? Old Navy also had some on sale for $15.00. *Note* Since it's Wet Seal, they aren't built for "women"- code word, curvy swervies like myself. I got them on, but the muffin top was in full effect. So if you're on the slimmer side and have a tame rump, this might work.
So to make up for the time I was gone, I decided to go for the gusto. I finally admitting I am a rocker chick slash biker chick underneath this skin. I love short skirts, messy yet sexy hair, bangles and lots of flashy things. Since its holiday party season, I came up with a few looks I'm going to try if I get some party invites-
This deep v-neck t is by American Apparel. A 3-pack of these bad boys is just $42.00. Can you say sexy???
Then...
I think I fell in love with sequinned skirts many moons ago as a kid- this just says disco or backstage of a rock concert to me. I found this at UrbanOutfitters.com for $68.00
Then depending on how you want to finish the look- true 80's rock diva
(Steve Madden, $129.95)
Or with a dash of "sassy class"- that was corny- lol
(Becks bootie, Steve Madden $149.00)
Or one of my favorites- sex kitten with shaved, shiny legs and these
(Becki pumps, Steve Madden 99.95)
... each look is good to go. Grab some super-sized hoops, bangles (of course- you'll see they work with everything!) and maybe this for your neck-
Urban Outfitters $24.00
The necklace is a cute touch but it depends on how dressed up or dressed down you want to go. For a night at the club, a Christmas party for your super hip job or an art gallery with that guy you like, you'll knock them dead with this outfit.
I have to stop myself or I'll have a post a mile long. I found some really sweet shoes and am looking for clothes to go with them. I have to make sure I keep you coming back to check me out. Until you read again...

Black Friday!
Why hello there! This week is a very important week. Not because of the holiday, (even though Thanksgiving is key) Black Friday is a holiday specifically for those with comsumer addictions- lol. This week also starts the beginning of party clothes season. There's nothing like a hot little dress and fly pumps to wear to the company Christmas party! I'm gonna take a couple days to really find some good stuff to get on here for you, but just to wet your shopping whistles, start with this-
I usually start my outfits from the shoe up. I think no matter what clothes you have on, a good outfit is made by the shoe. Have you ever seen someone that had the hair right, dangly earrings dangling, cute dress on and you pan down to the shoes and they ruined it all?!? There's nothing like seeing someone with a pair of beat-up or church lady shoes with a sexy dress. So my suggestion to everyone is to start from the shoe up.
I love these! I know you're sitting down, but you should lean back to read this one. These shoes are from Payless! Patricia Fields (wardrobe stylist/ costumer for Sex in the City) has a couple pairs of shoes and 1 (yes 1) handbag she designed for Payless. These shoes are great and no would ever know you bought them from the place Star Jones used to do commercials for. $40.00 for fashionista shoes??? Can't beat that! Go to payless.com
Since wearing just shoes is only good for at home with company, couple those Patricia Fields' with this
I usually don't do one shoulder dresses (strapless bras are a pain- underwear post in the works!) but this one is darling enough and inexpensive enough to wear once. Go to delias.com to find this for $44.50.
Simple gold or two-toned jewelry works with this one. You don't really need anything on your neck but a few bangles (fancier than the beauty supply ones please!) would do. Try some dainty stones for your ears and loose, sexy hair- and you're good to go. Wearing this might get you the raise you wanted for the new year- hopefully your boss is a man and single!

Shoeaholic
I've neglected my passions this week. My hair is loose (weave lingo- lol), nails are chipped and jeans need to be washed. Work the priority this week. I promise never to be so involved again- so anyone that knows me, knows I'm a shoe freak. If I were a guy, I'd be like that guy that episode of Girlfriends that wanted to spend hours in the shoe store with Joan with a stiffie- lol. So this post is all about shoes. Here are my top 3 pics for the week:
The color!!!! I love colored shoes, especially colored shoes with open toes! Show off that $50 pedi with the OPI color! I found these at Bakersshoes.com for $59.95. Can't beat that price- wear them with jeans, a short skirt, shorts- anything. I think I might buy these tonight!
Next price range up- I LOVE THESE! I found this pair on Asos.com for $78.45. This is one of my favorite sites. They knock off almost every celebrity's look- affordably (p.c. for cheap).
NOW FOR THE PIECE DE LA RESISTANCE... DRUMROLL PLEASE!!!!!
Marc Jacobs is the shi*t! This is one of those super splurges that you make arrangements on your gas bill for. I don't remember what site I saw these on because I was blinded by my lust for them. These masterpieces have a lucite heel, satin trim, with a sexy ankle strap (can't do sexy without an ankle strap) and rhinestones. $415.00 and worth every penny!
I'm going to go back to looking like I'm working and surfing the web for more good stuff to share- LOVE, PEACE AND PEEP-TOES!

When I get My Card Back Activated...
By now, I'm sure you all know Kanye West's mom, Dr. Donda West, passed over the weekend. I wanted to say something about her in addition to my Monday post. Although I never knew her personally, I really admire Ms. West because I can identify with her story. I see her as an example for raising a spectacular son in spite of the circumstances she faced being a single mother. As the world looks at Kanye during this very emotional, private moment, those of us the know what it means to to be a single mother, should smile knowing that the job we do raising our children impacts the world. Kanye is the man he is because his mother loved him, prayed for him, guided him and encouraged him. Her hard work and efforts have paid off. My heart goes out to her family, especially Kanye.
So onto the post...
The title of today’s post is the theme right now- I’m paying off credit cards, so all the more to look fab for less. I like to bargain hunt and find inexpensive pieces but when the opportunity presents itself to splurge (within reason), I go for it. Everything I put on this blog is something I’d wear. It’s a good idea to spend more money on the things you know you can use for a while. It’s a good idea to spend a few extra dollars on some semi-basic boots or a pair of jeans in a classic cut (my favorite cut are skinnys; sex them up, sex them down- they work!). Anything with a lot of details or a splashy color isn’t worth blowing the majority of the clothing allowance. You’ll never want to wear those boots for fear of some slightly jealous chick telling you “I love when you wear those” or a year from now asking yourself why you bought them in the first place. Here are 2 looks with one shoe- a patent leather ankle boot. You can rock these boots a couple times in 1 week. Both looks are very different & give the illusion of 2 different pairs of shoes. When creating chic on a budget, one must get creative- lol.
Let's start from the feet up-
These are on Zappos.com by Carlos Santana for $92.95. These are everyday sexy with a realistic heel.
Put those with this-
This top is on sale at Karmaloop.com for $30; make sure you put a camisole underneath- then these
These are Jill Stewart and I found them on Bluefly.com for $91.99.
The cool thing about these shorts is you'll have them a while- they're a great investment. Grab some nice black tights and this works for almost anything.
Look 2- same shoes
This dress is at Alloy.com for $42.50. I think its sweet, it reminds me of a little girl's dress.
Grab your boots and a pair of printed tights this time and you have a cute day at work, maybe even a cute lunch date... where he pays- lol.
I decided to do at least 2 posts a week. That means if you like my ideas, you have to keep checking the blog. Until the next sexy bargain...

Bleach and a Blouse
My philosophy on shopping is buy what you want regardless of how much it didn't cost. That means if I find a shirt in Walmart with plenty of style potential, its going in the cart with the Comet, mouthwash and oven cleaner. Now keep in mind there are guidelines and bylaws to this rule (that's another post)- now onto today's suggestions!
Try this sweatshirt- you can make it sexy with a belt but for this look, it might be over kill. Its an American Apparel sweatshirt. I love AA but sometimes they're kinda pricey. HOWEVER (you'll learn that's one of my favorite words) I know where the outlet is!
That with these- $4.50 at Forever 21
These boots at cutseyshoes.com- $35 and they're suede!
Then a few bracelets- the more, the better! The charm bracelet I found at delias.com, the other is at girlprops.com
I'm all about accessories. Bangles are always a win-win and necklaces (long or short) make any regular, boring outfit pop. Imagine the next look with this long pendant necklace. Buy a really clingy white shirt, maybe with a v-neck or a scoop neckline. Grab your skinny jeans and now the finishing touches:
These were at cutseyshoes.com too- and they're less than $40 bucks!
Here's my favorite part! I tried this on at Girl Props in NYC- it's really hot and bigger than it looks in the picture.
Wrap the look up with some ghetto gold, thin bracelets- like ones from the beauty supply for like $2.00 a piece- lol.
So I think I started something yesterday. I posted Nneka's bags. She's an indie designer getting her handbag on. She manufactures her line with her own hands and I'm sure its gonna blow up very, very soon. I found another hot line- Gordon Gartrelle (yes, like Theo- lol) that has some t-shirts with sophistication potential when worn with some fly stuff.
I'm mailing the car insurance off tomorrow so shopping resumes Saturday :)

So I mentioned I liked shoes...
but I didn't say they are an obsession! They are! I'll buy shoes before I buy almost everything- except for bracelets, but thats another story. Anyway, I love shoes. I have a pretty big sized foot so I have to shop at specific places that have shoes my size. I'm a 10 and I wear a 10 (: I know I can shop at Nine West and usually Steve Madden, finding some super hot styles. Today, I found a couple pairs- not the Laboutins but affordably just as hot. What do you think?
http://www.stevemadden.com/HONEST-GREY-SNAKE
These are sexy in grey- imagine a cute, flirty knit sweater- like this one:
http://www.asos.com/Asos/Drawstring-Waist-Sweat-Cardigan/Prod/
pgeproduct.aspx?iid=206847&clr=Grey&SearchQuery=sweater&sh=0
and some jeans:
http://www.forever21.com/product.asp?catalog%5Fname
=FOREVER21&category%5Fname=denim&product%5Fid=2043554409&Page=1
You can't go wrong with this look- get a wife beater or a basic white tee and some bangles. You're good to go! (And you didn't spend your whole paycheck- you can fill up your gas tank AND pay the light bill!) Good for a Saturday at the salon, running errands and a lunch with the girlfriends.
Try these too- they're cute & on sale. They were cute in grey but black works

Today wasn't that busy at work so I did some fantasy shopping. I saw a link to a MySpace page for Nneka Hurley's Handbags. Next to shoes, OPI nail polish and bangles, bags have a hold on me. Hers are really fly. I'm not sure of the price range but they look pretty affordable (meaning less than a Chloe Python clutch @ $1600) yet definitely hot enough that Eve and Keysha Cole rock them. I'm really feeling the fabrics- and they're handmade, so each is special. I might have to get one after I pay the car note :)
Check Nneka out here:

This whole blog thing is new so if the links aren't lit up, bare with me. I'll be blog savvy very soon. Until tomorrow-

I am not above sale shopping!
So, I'm hopping on the blog bandwaggon. Everyone knows something about fashion and I am realizing I am no different. I love bags and shoes and jeans- ON SALE! I like discounted stuff and I won't lie- Steve Madden is the sh*t! Target has cute tops! I might even be able to rock some shoes from the swapmeet and have someone with a $1000.00 pair of hot boots ask where I got them. It's all about your presentation- stay tuned!
