And a very Merry New Year to you...

I did a huge thing and stayed home tonight. I decided to stay home instead of getting all dolled up and hitting the stroll. I sorta believe how you begin your New Year sets the tone for reoccurring theme of the year. So... I decided to spend my first few moments blogging, being productive in the effort of making me better in the new year- nothing conveys newness better than a new dress :)

If I had gone out tonight...

This would have gotten me some action. Its from French Connection (FCUK- I know what it looks like-) for $148. Really cute and classic enough to wear after tonight.

A good dress deserves good shoes-

I saw these in the store but they weren't on sale- better get em' online; SteveMadden.com, Kewl $55.97. The metallic faux skin is really cute and would look darling with some tights underneath that dress.

Can't skip jewelry

How sweet are these?! More Jules Smith Designs. These lip earrings are more than enough sparkle. Very classy and would look great with some curls. No necklace needed but you might want to grab some simple silver bangles. Visit JulesSmithDesigns.com

I'm notorious for liking the same kind of stuff. I will buy something with a slight variation but basically the same.

Although this is a tube dress also, its not like the one above- lol. This dress is from Steve Madden (I think that line is a favorite- they hooked me at the shoes.) Navy blue is a great alternative to black and anything with a bow in the front is good for just about anyone.Go to the website to check on the price.

Red shoes!!!! The navy blue and red create a kinda nautical look but you can never go wrong with this combination. I found them on Heels.com- which is a great site for shoe lovers and shoppers. Not bad at $102.99

Now for the finishing touch... I said sailor style so I had to find this

Google is an amazing thing! I would have never known about Capecodnauticalgifts.com if I hadn't done a search for what I wanted. How cute is this?! It's $55.00- not bad. Visit the site- they have lots of cool, nautical-esque things.

I decided about a month ago to ditch resolutions. Instead of resolving or settling, this year, I am pushing myself a little harder to get closer to being who I want to be. Those life upgrades will definitely show up on this blog. I look forward to sharing with all of you this year and picking out fab shoes to match :)

Happy 2008!

Erica O.
